Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar: The Revenge has crossed the ₹1000-crore mark at the worldwide box office within just seven days of its release, cementing its status as a major blockbuster and one of the fastest Indian films to achieve the milestone.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller reached a global total of ₹1006 crore in its first week, becoming the second-fastest Indian film to enter the ₹1000-crore club, behind Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, which achieved the feat in six days.

The film opened strongly following a record-breaking premiere on Wednesday, ahead of its Thursday release. Buoyed by paid previews and a massive opening weekend, it collected over ₹100 crore domestically within its first three days, closing the weekend with a ₹750 crore worldwide haul, the second-highest in Indian cinema history.

During the weekdays, the film maintained a steady run with minimal drops initially, though a slowdown was observed on Wednesday. The film recorded a 16% dip, earning ₹47.70 crore net domestically, taking its India total to ₹623 crore net (₹745 crore gross). It is expected to cross the ₹700-crore mark domestically by Friday.

The overseas market has also played a significant role in the film’s performance. After opening with $7 million, the film collected over $22 million during its first weekend internationally. Despite a slight weekday dip, it added $1.5 million on Wednesday, taking its overseas total to $28.5 million (approximately ₹261 crore) after seven days.

The film also crossed the $100 million mark globally, becoming only the eighth Bollywood film to achieve this milestone.

In terms of box office pace, Dhurandhar 2 has outperformed several landmark Indian films. It reached the ₹1000-crore mark faster than SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2, which took nine days, as well as other major titles such as RRR, KGF Chapter 2, Kalki 2898 AD, and Bollywood hits Pathaan and Jawan. The film is now expected to surpass the global collections of Pathaan and Kalki 2898 AD, both of which stand at around ₹1050 crore.

The sequel features a returning ensemble cast including R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi alongside Ranveer Singh. Released on March 19, the film follows the success of the first Dhurandhar, which collected ₹1300 crore worldwide and continues to run in theatres months after its December release. With its current trajectory, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is poised to surpass its predecessor and set new benchmarks at the global box office.
