Rajshri Productions is set to revive one of its most iconic on-screen personas with the return of the character “Prem” in Yeh Prem Mol Liya, marking its comeback after a decade-long gap.For the first time, Ayushmann Khurrana will step into the role, adding a new chapter to the studio’s long-standing legacy of films centred around the character, which has historically been associated with its brand of family-oriented storytelling. The film also marks the return of director Sooraj R. Barjatya to the director’s chair following Uunchai, for which he received the National Film Award for Best Direction. The upcoming project continues Barjatya’s collaboration with composer Himesh Reshammiya, who will be scoring the film’s music after working with him on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.Sharvari will star opposite Khurrana, marking a fresh pairing under the Rajshri banner. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on November 27, 2026, aligning with the festive season.Announcing the project, the production banner described it as a big-screen family entertainer and confirmed its theatrical rollout, reinforcing Rajshri’s return to its hallmark space of relationship-driven cinema built around music, values, and emotional storytelling. With a new face taking on a beloved character and Barjatya returning to familiar narrative territory, Yeh Prem Mol Liya is poised to blend nostalgia with a contemporary sensibility for today’s audiences.
