As India prepares to celebrate Fête de la Musique 2026, French performance company bAlllAd is bringing an immersive public-space experience to six Indian cities this June, inviting audiences to see familiar urban landscapes in an entirely new way. The tour is scheduled for 4th June at DLF Mall Saket. Presented as part of the expanded Month of Music celebrations, the touring production transforms streets, parks and public spaces into living performance venues where the line between spectator and performer gradually disappears. Rather than gathering audiences inside traditional concert halls, this year’s edition embraces the idea that music can thrive in everyday spaces, turning cities into sites of spontaneous encounters, movement and collective participation. Created by French artist Bertrand Devendeville, bAlllAd revolves around a deceptively simple concept: participants wear wireless headphones and move together through public spaces, guided by a carefully crafted blend of music, live recordings, spoken word, beatboxing, improvisation and audience interaction. What begins as a shared walk evolves into an immersive journey shaped by the rhythm, atmosphere and people of each location. Because the performance adapts to its surroundings and the interactions it generates, no two editions are identical. Designed to be technically autonomous and highly mobile, the project can be staged in a wide range of environments, from bustling city streets and parks to indoor venues. The format encourages audiences to engage directly with the performance, creating a dynamic experience that unfolds in real time. Reflecting on his return to India, Devendeville said, “My first visit to India sparked a deep curiosity about the country and its incredible diversity. I’m excited to return and discover the unique energy of each city. Public space is where people naturally come together, and with bAlllAd, I hope to create moments where the boundaries between artist, audience, and passer-by disappear.” The performance forms part of a broader cultural programme organised by the French Institute in India for Fête de la Musique 2026. This year, three French musical projects will tour across 15 Indian cities, showcasing different facets of France’s contemporary music and performance landscape. Alongside bAlllAd, audiences will experience Alright Mela, which blends Mediterranean influences with electro-trance sounds, and Kelly ou moi, an intimate performance centered on storytelling and emotion. Together, the three acts aim to offer audiences diverse and immersive ways to engage with music beyond conventional concert formats. Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India, said: “Since 1982, Fête de la Musique has brought people together through a celebration of music that is both popular and universal. This June, it will resonate across fifteen Indian cities, highlighting the vitality and richness of the French contemporary music scene while creating new connections with audiences and artists across India. Blending eclectic sounds, poetic storytelling and immersive experiences, Alright Mela, Kelly ou Moi and bAlllAd will contribute to celebrating the enduring cultural dialogue between France and India.” About Author SSZee Media Provider of Quality Entertainment News and Information See author's posts Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Telegram (Opens in new window) Telegram Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Print (Opens in new window) Print Like this:Like Loading… Related Post navigation HBO Officially Draws Curtain on Euphoria After Seven-Year Run Naseeruddin Shah to Portrays J.R.D.
