Comedy, Culture and New Perspectives Come to Walthamstow

Looking for your next night out in East London? Soho Theatre Walthamstow has plenty to offer over the coming months, with a line-up spanning stand-up comedy, cultural conversation, spoken word and personal storytelling.

First up is Guz Khan & Friends, taking place from 27th–29th August. Hosted by Guz Khan, the three-night comedy showcase features a rotating selection of performers, including Babatunde Aleshe, Desiree Burch, Kyrah Gray, Jamali Maddix, Ola Labib and Michael Odewale. Get your tickets here.

September sees The Good Immigrant: LIVE 10th Anniversary on 13th September. Ten years after the original collection became a Sunday Times bestseller, editor Nikesh Shukla brings together some of its original voices for a special live discussion about identity, belonging and what it means to be ‘other’ in Britain. For something a little different, Nayab Midha: Rajkumari arrives on 21st November. The Hindi spoken-word performance explores the expectations and narratives surrounding love, identity and growing up, offering audiences an opportunity to question some of the stories they have inherited. Then, on 6th December, ALOK: Eat Pray Leave brings an evening of sharp, personal comedy to Walthamstow. Described as their most intimate show yet, ALOK turns love, heartbreak and poor decisions into material for a funny and thoughtful night of stand-up. Get your tickets here.
