Four shows to catch at Soho Theatre this autumn

Looking for something different to see in London this autumn? Soho Theatre has a packed programme of theatre, comedy, music and live performance, with four particularly distinctive shows coming up over the next few months.

From a Bollywood-inspired theatrical adventure to one of the world’s most recognisable poets, here’s what’s coming up.

Ashes by Convoy – 17–18 August

If you’re looking for a show that combines comedy, culture and a touch of Bollywood, Ashes by Convoy could be one to add to the list.

The production follows Radhika Elizabeth Kapoor after an unexpected phone call sends her back to Delhi. What begins as a return home quickly becomes an extraordinary adventure involving family, betrayal, gangsters and Gulab Jamon bullets.

Written and performed by Genevieve Sabherwal, the show explores identity and belonging through a playful and fast-moving theatrical journey across India.

FUCCBOIS: LIVE IN CONCERT – 2–5 September

Fancy swapping traditional theatre for a comedy boyband?

FUCCBOIS: LIVE IN CONCERT follows the world’s biggest boyband as they prepare to retire their frosted tips and say goodbye to their fame.

Created by Bridie Connell and directed by Richard Carroll, the show is a satirical take on toxic dating culture, delivered through comedy, music and live performance.

With a cast including Connell, Blazey Best, Vidya Makan, Clara Harrison, Grace Royle and Megan Walshe, the production promises plenty of pop-inspired chaos.

Makrooh presents: To Be Continued… – 12 September

Makrooh celebrates almost ten years of creative work with To Be Continued… at Soho Downstairs.

Taking place on 12 September at 2.30pm, the event looks back at the community, artists and collaborations that have shaped Makrooh while turning its attention towards the future.

Rupi Kaur: Uncut – A Residency – 5–17 October

Poetry fans won’t want to miss Rupi Kaur’s upcoming Soho Theatre residency.

Rupi Kaur: Uncut runs at Soho Upstairs from 5 to 17 October and offers audiences an intimate opportunity to experience the poet working on new material.

Rather than presenting a fully polished production, the residency opens up the creative process and allows audiences to experience Kaur’s work as it develops.
