Following the incident involving Neymar and Carlos Baccas after Brazil’s 1-0 loss to Colombia where Neymar head butted Bacca after a brawl between them and then insulted the referee when he was shown a straight red card, Neymar has been handed a 4-match ban which puts him out of the final group match of Brazil against Venezuela and a potential quarter final and semi final. The decision puts Neymar out of the Copa America 2015 though Brazil can appeal against the decision. Last year’s World Cup saw Brazil majorly suffering after Neymar’s injury under coach Scholari, all eyes wait to see how Brazil cope up with Neymar’s loss under coach Dunga. With Neymar out of the game, Philipe Coutinho and Douglas Costa will probably fight to feature in Brazil’s starting XI against Venezuela. Carlos Bacca has been handed a 2-match ban for his part in the incident.
