Patty Jenkins Completes TV Deal With Netflix!

Patty Jenkins has forged a TV deal with Netflix that will last three years and is worth $10 million.

With her new deal with Netflix, she will be involved in the creation of a brand new series exclusive to the streaming service – she will be involved from the creation to the production of it.

Channing Dungey, the Vice President of Netflix originals released a statement saying, “We’re thrilled to welcome Patty Jenkins to Netflix. Her trailblazing work has pushed boundaries and she confidently tells stories that leave an unforgettable mark. We look forward to fostering her many ideas and helping them come to life.”

Jenkins responded with her own statement, saying, “I’m so excited to embark on a great journey of making the new world of television with a company and group of people I admire as much as Ted [Sarandos], Cindy [Holland], Channing, Peter [Friedlander] and the team at Netflix. I look forward to digging in to some great work together soon.”

Jenkins’ previous work includes directing Wonder Woman and acting as executive producer of I Am The Night. She also was at the helm of the pilot and the finale of The Killing. She is now currently working on Wonder Woman 1984 which she directed, co-wrote and produced – it will be released in June 2020.

Netflix have recently branched out to sign up these deals with an impressive list of names such as Shona Rhimes, Ryan Murphy, Kenya Barris and now Patty Jenkins. Their aim is to have a larger catalogue of their own productions and we can’t wait to see what they come up with!
