Finally, the wait is over as Beyoncé announced the much-anticipated Part II of her ‘Renaissance’ album, through a series of teaser videos. Confirming longstanding rumors, the album appears to have a country influence and is slated for release on 29th March.

In a promotional campaign, Beyoncé is seen scrolling through songs on an iPhone before appearing at a lemonade stand, a nod to her iconic 2016 album. The teasers also cleverly play on her name, with references like ‘Barbey,’ a twist on Barbie, and ‘BOTUS,’ suggesting her ambition to become the first female president.

Additionally, there are hints at her pioneering spirit, as she envisions herself as the first woman to launch a rocket for another female astronaut in space.

Finally, she says, “OK, they ready — drop the new music. I told y’all the ‘Renaissance’ is not over,” she concludes.

The singer took to her Instagram page to reveal the final teaser video, which includes the album title and release date as well. Also, she drops hints at a song title as the video had a billboard and a car license plate that read “Texas Hold ‘Em,” which also refers to the poker game named after the singer’s home state or a song title. Shortly after, two songs made their debut on streaming platforms, initially appearing on Tidal.

Notably, Beyoncé and Jay-Z were seen alongside primary owner Jack Dorsey at the Super Bowl. The tracks indeed lean towards a country theme. “Texas Hold ‘Em” features acoustic guitars, a bass drum, and vocals, with a chorus that exclaims, “It’s a real-live boogie and a real live hoedown, don’t be a bitch just take it to the floor now.”

The second track, ‘16 Carriages,’ begins with a country-esque vibe in the verses but transitions into an epic, orchestral arrangement during the choruses. Both songs boast contributions from veteran producer Raphael Saadiq, renowned for his work with D’Angelo (‘How Does It Feel?’) and Beyoncé’s sister, Solange.
