Eli Roth Unveils Bloody First Trailer for Horror Thriller Ice Cream Man

Horror filmmaker Eli Roth has unveiled the first trailer for Ice Cream Man, offering audiences a gruesome preview of the upcoming horror feature that turns a familiar childhood treat into the source of a terrifying nightmare.

The trailer introduces Ari Millen as the mysterious titular ice cream vendor who arrives in an idyllic town on a summer day. What begins as a seemingly innocent visit quickly descends into chaos as children who consume the treats are transformed, unleashing violent mayhem across the community.

Axes, hacksaws and baseball bats become instruments of destruction as the town spirals into madness. Amid the carnage, one child delivers a chilling warning in the trailer: “That ice cream’s demonic. They’re not trying to kill us. They’re trying to turn us. We have to run!”

The film also stars Benjamin Byron Davis, Karen Cliche, Dylan Hawco, Sarah Abbott, Shiloh O’Reilly, Kiori Mirza Waldman, Charlie Zeltzer and Charlie Storey.

Known for horror franchises including Cabin Fever and Hostel, as well as the recent slasher hit Thanksgiving, Roth serves as director, producer and co-writer on the project. He penned the screenplay alongside longtime collaborator Noah Belson.

The production features an original score by Brandon Roberts, with additional music contributed by Snoop Dogg. Producing duties are shared by Roth and Kate Harrison of Cream Productions.

The film also marks a significant milestone for Roth, becoming the first feature released under The Horror Section, the filmmaker’s horror-focused banner launched in March 2025. The project is backed by a partnership with Mass Appeal, with hip-hop icon Nas serving as an executive producer alongside CEO Peter Bittenbender.

Ice Cream Man is scheduled to debut in theaters on 7 August, 2026, with distributor Iconic Events Releasing planning a wide rollout across more than 2,000 screens in North America.

With its blend of childhood nostalgia, supernatural horror and Roth’s trademark splatter-filled style, the film is positioning itself as one of the genre’s most talked-about releases of the summer movie season.
