Ram Charan’s latest big-screen outing Peddi has enjoyed a powerful start at the global box office, collecting Rs 292.5 crore gross worldwide within four days of its theatrical release.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports action drama hit cinemas on Thursday and has maintained strong momentum through its opening weekend. The film stars Ram Charan in the lead role alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar.

According to figures shared by the makers on Monday, Peddi opened with an impressive Rs 135.36 crore gross worldwide on its first day. The film added Rs 46.44 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 54.9 crore on Saturday. Sunday contributed another Rs 55.8 crore, taking the cumulative global total to Rs 292.5 crore gross.

Celebrating the film’s performance, the makers shared a post on social media that read, “Blockbuster first weekend for BOX OFFICE CHAMPION #PEDDI. #Peddi collects a gross of 292.5 CRORES GROSS WORLDWIDE in 4 days. Book your tickets now.”

Set in rural Andhra Pradesh during the 1990s, Peddi tells the story of a lower-caste villager who turns to sports as a means of earning respect and dignity for his community. The film combines themes of social justice, ambition and resilience against the backdrop of a sports-driven narrative.

The ensemble cast also includes Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.

Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas, the film is co-produced by Ishan Saksena under IVY Entertainment. It is presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.Adding to the film’s appeal is a soundtrack composed by Academy Award-winning musician A.R. Rahman. With its strong opening numbers and positive audience response, Peddi is now poised to cross the Rs 300-crore mark worldwide in the coming days.
