Shakespeare’s Globe has revealed the cast for its upcoming production of All’s Well That Ends Well, directed by Chelsea Walker (Visit from an Unknown Woman, Hampstead Theatre). The play will run in the intimate Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, kicking off on 8th November, 2024. The cast features a stellar lineup, including Catrin Aaron as Widow, Ruby Bentall as Helena, Emilio Doorgasingh as Lafew, Richard Katz as the King of France, and Kit Young as Bertram. The ensemble also includes William Robinson as Paroles, Siobhán Redmond as Countess, and Georgia-Mae Myers as Diana. Speaking about the production, director Chelsea Walker described All’s Well That Ends Well as “a thriller-esque social satire” that delves into power dynamics across class, gender, and sexuality. “It requires a bold, playful ensemble of actors who are up for rediscovering and reframing this play for today’s audience,” she added. The creative team for the production includes Bethany Gupwell as Candlelight Designer, Simon Slater as Composer, and Rosanna Vize as Set and Co-Costume Designer. Michela Meazza takes on the role of Movement Director, with Lucy Fennell serving as Intimacy Director and Kevin McCurdy as Fight Director. The Sam Wanamaker Playhouse will host All’s Well That Ends Well through 4th January, 2025. In addition to regular performances, several assisted shows will be available, including captioned, BSL-interpreted, audio-described, and relaxed performances.
